Executive Chairman (Secretary) National Skills Development Authority (NSDA)

Mrs. Nasreen Afroz took the charge as Executive Chairman (Secretary) of National Skill Development Authority (NSDA) on 4th August 2022. On Immediately before assuming the charge of Executive Chairman (Secretary), she was working as the Managing Director of Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust. Mrs. Nasreen Afroz is a member of 11th batch of BCS (Administration) cadre. Her career started in 1993 by joining as Assistant Commissioner in Tangail District. She completed BSS (Hons) and Master’s degree in Public Administration from Dhaka University. In addition, she obtained a Master’s degree with distinction in Public Policy and Management from Monash University of Australia with a scholarship from the Australian Government. She has work experience as Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Upazila Nirbahi officer at field level. She has served as Senior Assistant Secretary in Energy and Mineral Resources Division, Ministry of Primary and Mass Education and Ministry of Public Administration. She was engaged in imparting training to junior officers at BCS Administration Academy from 2009-2012. She also served as Project Director in BCS Administration Academy. From 2012 to 2019, she worked as Director and Director General in Prime Minister’s Office. She joined as Managing Director of Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust on 5 November 2019. She received various trainings at home and abroad and traveled to UK, USA, Germany, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Tajikistan, Malaysia, Singapore, China, Vietnam, India etc. as part of her professional government duties. She had the privilege of traveling to Hungary as a traveling companion of the Hon’ble Prime Minister. In addition, she attended at the conference “the High Level Panel on Water” in Peru as nominated representative of the Hon’ble Prime Minister. In personal life, she is the mother of 03 (three) children. Her husband Dr. Imtiaz Kamal is a nuclear scientist.
